Daily Word Hunt: How to Solve the Word With Fewer Clues
Daily Word Hunt gives you a hidden 5-, 6-, or 7-letter word, with three letters revealed to start.
You can earn additional letters through normal gameplay, but you don’t necessarily have to wait until you’ve uncovered everything.
Sometimes three letters are enough.
The fun part is figuring out when you actually know the answer…and when your brain is confidently lying to you.
Start with the word length
Before focusing on the letters, notice whether you’re solving a five-, six- or seven-letter word.
That immediately limits your possibilities.
A combination that looks strange in a five-letter word might make perfect sense when you’re looking for seven letters.
Pay attention to positions
A revealed letter isn’t only telling you which letter is in the word.
Its position matters too.
Ask yourself:
What letters commonly come before this?
What combinations commonly come after it?
Could this be part of a familiar ending?
Every revealed position eliminates possibilities.
Look for patterns, not just missing letters
Suppose you know three letters.
Don’t simply stare at the empty spaces and randomly insert letters.
Look at the structure.
Could the ending be -ER?
Could there be a double letter?
Does the visible combination suggest a common word pattern?
You’re trying to turn the puzzle from:
“What word could this possibly be?”
into:
“What kinds of words could fit this pattern?”
That’s a much smaller problem.
Use gameplay-earned reveals strategically
Normal gameplay can reveal additional letters.
Those clues can dramatically narrow the possibilities, and importantly, letters earned through normal gameplay don’t count as hints for the No-Hint Bonus.
So if you’re unsure, continuing to play can give you more information without automatically giving up that bonus.
Don’t guess just because you almost know it
Your first guess is free, but additional guesses cost 25 Speed Coins each.
That means there’s value in being patient.
If you have two equally plausible answers, another revealed letter might be worth waiting for.
On the other hand, if the pattern strongly points to one word, an early solve can be especially satisfying.
Remember the First Find Awards
The first three players to solve the Daily Word receive additional Speed Coins:
1st First Find — +50 Coins
2nd First Find — +30 Coins
3rd First Find — +20 Coins
So there is a little tension built into the puzzle.
Wait for more information and improve your confidence…
or take your shot early and try to grab a First Find.
That’s intentional.
Don’t forget the regular rewards
The Daily Solve rewards increase with word length:
5 letters — +15 XP and +5 Speed Coins
6 letters — +20 XP and +7 Speed Coins
7 letters — +25 XP and +10 Speed Coins
Solve without using a hint and you also receive the +5 XP and +2 Speed Coin No-Hint Bonus.
So even if you’re nowhere near the First Find podium, solving the Daily Word is still worth doing.
Most importantly, have fun with it
Daily Word Hunt isn’t supposed to feel like homework.
Look at the pattern. Make a few possibilities in your head. Play some games and earn another reveal if you’re stuck.
And when the answer suddenly clicks…
that’s the best part.
Especially when you get it with three letters showing and can pretend you knew it immediately.
